2025 Fishing Report




Thurs. Oct. 9th - 9am
Anchor River - Not much change, water has come down a touch and has better visibility.  Steelhead fishing should pick up now with better river conditions.
Upper Kenai River - Good river conditions remain and the bite is still on !  Good reports with many big fish.

Weds. Oct. 8th - 8am
Anchor River - The water has come down a little and is a little clearer, but still a little high for crossing in my normal places.
Deep Creek - The water is looking better and clears up faster than the Anchor.  Good reports of Steelhead fishing before the rain and the river came up. 
Upper Kenai River - The fishing has been good and continues to be good, It is a little off color, but quite clear. 

Tues. Oct. 7th - 8am
Anchor River - Water is dropping and has cleared up just a little. Steelhead fishing should improve with the river conditions. 
Kenai River - The water level keeps dropping and the Sockeye are still dying off, which has made the fishing great and keeps improving.  We may get another week of this I bet !

Mon. Oct. 6th - 8am
Anchor River - Water is rising again up to almost 2.96, and is very off color.  
Kenai River - River conditions are good with a little cloudy water, but is cropping everyday. Great Rainbow and Dolly fishing !!!

Sun. Oct. 5th - 8am
Anchor River - Water has spiked up and is chocolate milk!
Kenai River- The bite in the upper river has turned on, with many big Dolly's and more big Rainbows as you drop down through the refuge. 

Sat. Oct. 4th - 8am
Anchor River - Water has come down very little since yesterday !  It is still a little high and off color.  Should be some Steelhead in there, fish the edges,
Deep Creek - Has been fishing well and the water has come down and much clearer than the Anchor. 
Upper Kenai River - River has dropped a lot and more gravel bars appearing

Fri. Oct. 3rd - 8am
Anchor River - Water is still quite high and off color and has dropped down a little.  
Upper Kenai River - The Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden fishing has been off the charts !  Beads have turned on !

Thurs. Oct. 2nd - 8am
Anchor River - The Hydrograph has shot up greatly and the water is dirty and is off color.  It looks like maybe late tomorrow or Sat. for better water. 
Kenai River - The Rainbow and Dolly bite has improved and is much better. 

Weds. Oct. 1st - 8am
Anchor River -Good river Conditions remain, but a little rain in the forecast.  Good Steelhead fishing and many Dolly's!
Kenai River -  Upper river has turned on and fishing much better, Middle river is hot !

Tues. Sept. 30th - 8am
Anchor River -The water is fine and clearing up, the Steelhead and Dolly's are active.
Kenai River - The upper river has less sockeye everyday and fishing seems to be improving. 

Mon. Sept. 29th - 8am
Anchor River -The water level is lower and still dropping a little.  It is clear and we are still getting Steelhead and many Dolly's.
Kenai River - Good reports from the upper and Rainbow fishing is picking up. 

Sun. Sept. 28th - 8am
Anchor River -The water is dropping and should be better by this afternoon, it is clearing up, but still high.
Kenai River -The rainbows and dolly's in the upper river has improved, with some of the Sockeye dying off !

Sat. Sept. 27th - 8am
Anchor River -High and dirty today from all the rain.  It is off color and not looking too good. 
Kenai River -The water is clearing up and the Sockeye are dying off.  The fishing is improving with less Sockeye.  
Quartz Creek - is fishing well again !

Fri. Sept. 26th - 8am
Anchor River -The water is in good shape for now, but there was a flush of dirty water from a bluff that broke off. 
Kenai River -One of the best days on the river with many large Dolly's and a few nice Rainbows. 

Thurs. Sept. 25th - 8am
Anchor River - The water looks great and we got some nice Steelhead yesterday down low, coming in fresh from the ocean.
Kenai River - Still good river conditions remain, with the water dropping, Rainbows and Dolly's have improved a little. 

Weds. Sept. 24th - 8am
Anchor River - Good river conditions, after the water has dropped and is nice and clear.
Kenai River - Seems to be improving a little for the Rainbows and Dolly Varden. There were less Sockeye in the river, with many dying off. 

Tues. Sept. 23rd - 8am
Anchor River - Water has come down to a nice level and it has cleared up.  Good Steelhead fishing remains.
Deep Creek - Water looks much better today and should still be good fishing. 

Mon. Sept. 22nd - 8am
Anchor River - Water is a touch off color but is coming down.  We are still doing good on Steelhead and dolly Varden
Deep Creek - There have been good reports on Deep before the water came up, it is off color, but clearing.

Sun. Sept. 21st - 8am
Anchor River - Went up river for Dolly's and Steelhead today and we did get some Dolly's.
Deep Creek - Water is high and off color.

Sat. Sept. 20th - 8am
Anchor River - Turned out to be a nice day !  Water is high and off color. 
Deep Creek - The water has come up and is dirty, no reports of Steelhead fishing today. 

Fri. Sept. 19th - 8am
Anchor River - Little rain today, water level has come up a little.  Good Steelhead fishing remains and the Dolly's are getting all colored up. 
Deep Creek - River has color up a little, but we are still getting good reports of Steelhead fishing. 

Thurs. Sept. 18th - 8am
Anchor River - Good river conditions remain and we are still getting some Steelhead.  Good fishing from the lower river in slide hole to several miles up river.
Deep Creek - There was some good action below the bridge and also up river.  River is in good shape.

Weds. Sept. 17th - 8am
Anchor River - There was a lot of fishermen on the river today and there is still good fishing.  There are Steelhead in the river and we have been doing very well !
Deep Creek - Water is still good and good reports of catching Steelhead. . 

Tues. Sept. 16th - 8am
Anchor River - Good river conditions remain and the rain didn't do much to the river. Steelhead fishing has been good, lots of Dolly's and we did get a fresh Silver.
Deep Creek - Good reports for Steelhead fishing, from the lower river and all the way up river. Beads and Dolly Lamas.

Mon. Sept. 15th - 8am
Anchor River - Water looks great !  It has come down and has cleared up.  Steelhead fishing has been a little slow.
Deep Creek - Good river conditions now, the Steelhead fishing has been great, up river is holding many Steelhead.

Sun. Sept. 14th - 8am
Anchor River - Good fishing conditions in general,, the water has dropped and has cleared up.  Slow fishing today.
Deep Creek - Great reports on Steelhead fishing. Up river has been hot !

Sat. Sept. 13th - 8am
Anchor River - Water is still high, but the color is coming back.  Good Steelhead fishing above the bridge and down in the Rec. Area.
Deep Creek - Still a touch high and off color, but good reports of Steelhead fishing up river. 

Fri. Sept. 12th - 8am
Anchor River - The water has started to drop and is clearing up slowly. Still high and off color, maybe a foot visibility. 
Kenai River - The Upper river is stuffed with Sockeye and the Rainbows have slowed down, but the Silvers were active. 
Deep. Creek - Water looks much better and good for fishing. 

Thurs. Sept. 11th - 8am
Anchor River - Water is too high
Kenai River - The Rainbow fishing was a little slow, but did get a 22 inch Bow.  Too many Sockeye in the river. 
Deep. Creek - Steelhead fishing has been good, just waiting for the river to drop and clear.

Weds. Sept. 10th - 8am
Anchor River - Water is up and a little off color, but ok for fishing. We are still getting some Steelhead, but a little slower today.
Kenai River - The Middle River has been good for Rainbows and Silver fishing has been great !

Tues. Sept. 9th - 8am
Anchor River - Many fish in the river, but today they seemed to be not biting !  The water temp. has been dropping and I'm sure causing the slowdown in fishing. 
Kenai River - Good reports of Silver fishing in the lower, middle and upper river.  There are too many sockeye to fish with out one. 
Deep Creek - Good Steelhead fishing and up river has been hot.

Mon. Sept. 8th - 8am
Anchor River - Good river conditions and the Silvers are active today.  We are seeing many more Steelhead in the river and it has been good Steelhead fishing. 

Sun. Sept. 7th - 8am
Anchor River - The Steelhead fishing has been good and we got a 30 inch today.  Dolly's have moved up.

Sat. Sept. 6th - 8am
Anchor River -Good fishing and river conditions are good. 
Kenai River - Good Silver fishing in the river.

Anchor River - Water was up a little and off color.  Tons of Silvers in the river.

Anchor River - River conditions are good today with the water dropping and has cleared up.  A few reports of Steelhead and still many Silvers in the river. 
Deep Creek - Good Silver fishing and few reports of Steelhead.  Good dolly fishing. 

Sun. Aug. 31st - 
Anchor River - River is looking much better, the color is better and visibility is about a good foot.  Silvers have moved up in big numbers.
Kenai River - The lower river has come up a little from the rain, Silvers are still active.

Sat. Aug. 30th -  6am
Anchor River - Still a little high and off color, the water has come down  and visibility is getting better.
Kenai River - good Silver fishing in the lower river and up in the middle river.  There are a few bright Silvers up in the Cooper Landing area, but many are colored up. 

Fri. Aug. 29th - 6am
Anchor River - River is very high and brown, Blown out today ! We will wait a few days for it to be good.
Kenai River - There are still a few Sockeye coming in, but colored up.  The silvers are active in the lower river and reports of good Silver fishing up by Bings.

Thurs. Aug. 28th - 6am
Anchor River - River conditions are not good,the rain has brought up the river and is very dirty.
Kenai River - The water is coming up from the rain but fishing is still good for Silvers in the lower river. 

Weds. Aug. 27th - 6am
Anchor River -There are many Silvers in the lower river and all the way up to mm160.  Dolly Varden fishing has been good, better up river.
Kenai River - There are many silver in the lower river coming in and still some Sockeye. 

Tues. Aug. 26th - 6am
Anchor River -Good river conditions, with low water and full of fish !
Kenai River - Great Rainbow fishing on the upper river.  

Mon. Aug. 25th - 6am
Anchor River -We are seeing a very good Silver Salmon run this year !  The lower river is stuffed with Silvers and a few reports of Steelhead being caught !
Kenai River - Silvers are in and good fishing in the middle river.  Upper River -  is on fire with Rainbows and Dolly's.  

Sun. Aug. 24th - 6am
Anchor River - Silvers are in and with the high tides we have now, should still push in some more fish !
Deep Creek - Still good reports of good Silver fishing.  We have heard of a few Steelhead caught, by a trust worthy friend.
Kenai River - Silver fishing in the lower river has been good, Bings Landing has been a good place as well as Swiftwater.

Sat. Aug. 23rd. - 6am
Anchor River - River Conditions are still good,b ut the river is very low.  The river is stuffed with Silvers, best run in years !
Deep Creek -Is also running low and clear.  The Silver fishing has been great and the Dolly's are hot up river !

Fri. Aug. 22nd - 6am
Anchor River -River is very low, but we are seeing a ton Silver in the river.   Dolly Varden fishing has been great !
Kenai River - There are still a bunch of Reds in there, they are getting colored up, but still fresh fish!
Deep Creek - River is also very low, and clear.  We are seeing many Silver and Dolly's in the river. 

Thurs. Aug. 21st - 6am
Anchor River -There are still a bunch of Silvers in the river.  The early morning has been best and seems to slow up in the afternoon.  Tide are getting better. 
Kenai River - Upper river has been great for Rainbows and Dolly's

Weds. Aug. 20th - 6am
Anchor River -Good river conditions, even though its low.  Good Silver Fishing and no sigh of Steelhead yet.
Kenai River - You can still get a cooler of Sockeye in the lower river.  Sockeye are up river now. 
Deep Creek - Today  we got a bunch of silvers and found a bunch of Dolly's up river. 

Tues. Aug. 19th - 6am
Anchor River -Good Silver fishing continues and the numbers are looking very healthy !  Dolly's are up river. 
Kenai River - There is some great Rainbow Trout fishing in the upper river and still seeing fresh Sockeye in the lower river. 
Deep Creek - Good Silver fishing continues and you will find Dolly's up river. 

Mon. Aug. 18th - 6am
Anchor River -Tight lipped Silver today,k but after they were fished hard this morning.  Dolly fishing up river was good.
Kenai River - Sockeye are still coming in and you can still find some fresh ones for the cooler.

Sun. Aug. 17th - 6am
Anchor River -Great Silver fishing today and we were able to get into a good spot in the lower river.  Silver run is healthy !
Kenai River - The upper river is fishing well for Rainbows and Dolly's, dry flies have been fun to play with. 

Sat. Aug. 16th - 6am
Anchor River -The river is low, but full of silvers, Dolly fishing has been better up river. 
Kenai River - The record Sockeye run is still if full swing, with good numbers.

Fri. Aug. 15th - 6am
Anchor River - Conditions are great, water is a little low. Silvers are in and Dolly's have moved up river. 
Kenai River - Sockeye ! Sockeye !  We got 27 today !  Rainbow Fishing has improved.

Thurs. Aug. 14th -
Anchor River - Silver Fishing continues to be good !  Eggs are working best and we are getting them on the fly. 
Kenai River - Still good Sockeye fishing, we got a few Silvers today fishing for Sockeye.  We are seeing Silvers in the upper Kenai River. 

Weds. Aug. 13th - 6am
Anchor River - Good Silver Action today, when fishing just after high tide, we got into many Silvers !  
Kenai River - Starting to see Silvers in the upper river.
Deep Creek - Great Dolly Varden and Silver fishing continues !

Tues. Aug. 12th - 6an
Anchor River - Dolly's seem to have moved up river, we are finding more big Dolly's up river.  Silver fishing has been good !
Kenai River - We are still seeing many fresh Sockeye coming in and the numbers are still good !  We are seeing many silver in lower river. 
Deep Creek - Silver are in and good fishing for Dolly's today !

Mon. Aug. 11th - 6am
Anchor River - Good River conditions, but still a little high and dirty.
Kenai River - Sockeye fishing remains good Silvers are in.

Sun. Aug. 10th - 6am
Anchor River - The rain has turned the river dirty and its not in great shape.  We are still getting Silvers on lures.
Kenai River - Silvers are starting to show in better numbers, we got 2 Sockeye fishing !

Sat. Aug. 9th - 6am
Anchor River - Fun Dolly Varden action up river today !  There are Silver in the lower river, tidal area. Many Silver have been counted and the run look healthy !
Kenai River - Sockeye fishing continues to be good with many fresh fish.

Anchor River - Good River Conditions remain and the fishing has been good !
Kenai River - Upper river has been good for Rainbows and the dry fly fishing has been great !

Anchor River - There are Silvers in the lower tidal area, fishing with eggs has been very affective.

Mon. Aug. 4th - 6am
Anchor River - Lots of fun fishing for Dolly's and missed a few Silvers today.

Anchor River - Silvers are in the lower river and we are seeing many Pinks coming in.  Dolly's are up river.
Deep Creek - Water level is good for most crossings and there are Silvers in the lower river.
Kenai River - 115,083 Sockeye !

Sat. Aug. 2nd - 6am
Anchor River - Silvers are starting to come in in better numbers and lots of Pink Salmon in the river. 
Deep Creek - Silvers are in the river!
Kenai River - 136,463 Sockeye !

Fri. Aug. 1st - 6am
Anchor River - Upper river open up today ! Look for Silvers in the lower river, tidal zone. Dolly's are through out the river. 
Deep Creek - Silvers are in and the water is in good condition.
Upper Kenai River - We had a great day dry fly fishing and did well on the beads too !  
Kenai River - 204,360 Sockeye !

Thurs. July 31st
Anchor River - Silvers are in !  Water is low and good condition. 
Deep Creek - Dolly Varden fishing has been productive and we are seeing many Pinks in the river.
Kenai River - 148,002 Sockeye !

Weds. July 30th - 6am
Anchor River - Still great Dolly Varden fishing and use flashy spinners or smolt patterns.  Beads are working too. 
Deep Creek - Found lots of Dolly's in the upper river and pinks in the lower river. 
Kenai River - 128,122 Sockeye !

Tues. July 29th - 6am
Anchor River - Lots of Dolly's in the lower river and moving up.
Kenai River - 105,812 Sockeye !

Mon. July 28th - 6am
Anchor River - We are seeing many Pink Salmon this year, much better than the last Pink years.
Kenai River- 185,72 Sockeye !

Sun. July 27th - 6am
Anchor River - Great Dolly fishing and many Pinks in the river.
Kenai River- 247,250 Sockeye ! Do I need to say more !  These are record numbers !

Sat. July 26th - 6am
Anchor River - Beautiful day ! Not much change to the river after a little rain. Fishing has been good.
Kenai River - Keep filling your cooler Sockeye fishing !  Still getting full limits of 6.

Fri. July 25th - 6am
Anchor River - River conditions are good and there are a bunch of hungry Dolly's in there. We are getting plenty of Pinks as well.
Kenai River - Sockeye fishing continues to be great ! 

Thurs. July 24th - 6am
Anchor River - Tons of Dolly's and we are getting a few Pink Salmon. Not much sign of Silvers yet.
Kenai River - Upper Kenai is getting better for Rainbows and the lower is still stuffed with Sockeye !

Weds. July 23rd - 6am
Anchor River - Good reports of Dolly fishing and heard of one Silver caught so far. 
Kenai River - Rainbow fishing was good today and improving in the upper Kenai.  Sockeye are still coming in strong !

Tues. July 22nd - 6am
Anchor River - Nice to be on the river for some great Dolly action and seeing many old Kings in there. 
Kenai River - We are having a lot of fun catching Sockeye this year !  

Mon. July 21st - 6am
Anchor River - River is in good shape after the rain and made no affect.  Dolly's and Pinks are hot !
Kenai River - Sockeye fishing continues to be good and there are many fish in the river !

Sun. July 20th - 6am
Anchor River - Dolly Varden and Pink Salmon seem to be very active.  Only heard of one Silver Salmon caught so far. They are in the fishing hole on the spit. 
Kenai River - The number continue to be good and people are getting their limits in no time at all !  Water is still nice and low, not too high yet.

Sat. July 19th - 6am
Anchor River - Water is low and very clear.  The dolly's have been very active.
Deep Creek - No reports
Ninilchik - River - No Reports
Kenai River - Sockeye fishing has been awesome, with the numbers well over 100,000 per day

Fri. July 18th - 6am
Anchor River -Great dolly Varden and Pink Salmon fishing today, with over 25 Dolly's caught and a half a dozen Pinks. No silvers yet...
Deep Creek -  Water looks good and I haven't been on here yet.
Ninilchik - River - Water looks good and I haven't been on here yet.
Kenai River - Sockeye Kicking Ass !  There are many fisherman and the limit is 6 per day.  Makes for a long day. 

Thurs. July 17th - 6am
Anchor River -River looks good and we are seeing plenty of Kings in the lower river.  Dolly's are in and very active.
Deep Creek - Water looks good.
Ninilchik - River - Water looks good.
Kenai River - We are seeing the number rise and fishing has been great for sockeye.  The Upper Kenai continues to be good on dries. 

Weds. July 16th - 6am
Anchor River - Opens today at midnight !  There should be some Dolly's in there and Pinks are showing up. 
Deep Creek - Opens today !
Ninilchik - River -  Opens today !
Kenai River - We are having good luck on Sockeye and watching the numbers climb. 

Tues. July 15th - 6am
Anchor River -Opens tomorrow !
Kenai River - We are still getting our Sockeye and seeing the numbers rise up and their are plenty of fish int he river. 

Mon. July 14th - 6am
Anchor River -Waiting for the river to open on the 16th.  The river looks good,but low.
Kenai River - Upper River in Cooper Landing, fishing was slow today and not too many Sockeye up there yet, only red ones.

Sun. July 13th - 6am
Anchor River -Water is low and clear, what little rain has not done much to raise the water lever at all.
Kenai River - Still picking up some Sockeye and having a lot of good days up there with clients !

Sat. July 12th - 6am
Anchor River -Waiting for the Anchor to open on July 16th at midnight.
Kenai River - Little slower Sockeye fishing today, took a while to get 6 fish. 

Fri. July 11th - 6am
Anchor River -Water looks good and clear.  Many trees down in the river as I walked up river.  
Kenai River - Good Sockeye fishing today, but not many fish.  We caught 4 today. 

Thurs. July 10th - 6am
Anchor River -Water looks inviting and we are patiently waiting to get on here July 16th.
Kenai River - Upper Kenai River was fishing a little better today. Still no Sockeye up river, only red ones.

Weds. July 9th-  6am
Anchor River -River Closed until July 15th, opens on July 16th.
Kenai River - Still getting some Sockeye, they're not jumping in the boat, but we are getting some fish. It's early yet.

Tues. July 8th - 6am
Anchor River -Water is low and clear, and opens on July 16th.
Kenai River - Upper Kenai River was great today on Dry flies !

Mon. July 7th - 6am
Anchor River -We are looking forward to the river opening !
Kenai River - Water is slowly coming up, but at a nice level for Sockeye fishing, making it very easy to land them.

Sun. July 6th - 6am
Anchor River -We could use some water in the river !  It is very low and clear !
Kenai River - We are still getting some Sockeye, even though it is still very early !  We are seeing 2nd run fish !

Sat. July 5th - 6am
Anchor River -Water is still very low and we could use some rain, sorry to say !
Kenai River - Sockeye !  We did great today for Sockeye, we got 9 fish!

Fri. July 4th - 6am
Anchor River - Looking very low and needs water.
Kasilof River - Sockeye are coming in in good numbers and the limit is at 6 fish per day.
Kenai River - Starting to see the Sockeye numbers get bigger and fishing has been good.

Thurs. July 3rd - 6am
Anchor River - The water is getting very low and that's not too good for the Silvers and Steelhead.
Kasilof River - Still good Sockeye fishing and still seeing some hatchery King Salmon caught. 
Kenai River - Not huge numbers of Sockeye, but we managed to pick up a few.
Upper Kenai River - Water is very high and clear.  So, So rainbow fishing and not too many Sockeye in there yet. 

Weds. July 2nd - 6am
Anchor River - Opens July 16th !
Kasilof River - Sockeye fishing continues to be good, and Kings are still coming in. 
Kenai River - Good Sockeye fishing today, only 2 fish, but they were 2nd run fish. 

Tues. July 1st - 6am
Anchor River - Opens July 16th. 
Kasilof River - Sockeye fishing continues to be good. 
Kenai River - Sockeye are just starting to come in to the lower Kenai. 
Upper Kenai River - Water is running high and fast.  The wind was blowing big time and made for a quick trip. Beautiful day, but fishing was slow.

Mon. June 30th - 6am
Anchor River - The water is very low and getting lower.
Kasilof River - Still seeing some Kings caught and the Sockeye fishing has been good.
Kenai River - Slow fishing today, not too many Sockeye caught today.

Sun. June 29th - 6am
Anchor River - Water is low and clear. Opens July 16th. 
Kasilof River - Water continues to come up, and the Sockeye fishing continues to improve.
Kenai River - Sockeye fishing was ok today, we caught 2 fish, 2 for 4.

Sat. June 28th - 6am
Anchor River - Opens July 16th.
Kasilof River - Good Sockeye fishing today and we caught one King, it was a wild King, and we had to release it. 

Fri. June 27th - 6am
Anchor River - Closed until July 15th. 
Kasilof River - We did well with Kings today and landed two, one wild and one hatchery.  No Sockeye, but we were fishing Kings.

Thurs. June 26th - 6am
Anchor River - River seems to be dropping and is getting very low. 
Kasilof River - Sockeye fishing has been ok, still improving. 

Weds. June 25th - 6am
Anchor River - Water is low and the river is closed until July 15th. 
Kasilof River - Was a good day for the King Salmon fishermen, not too many sockeye today. 

Tues. June 24th - 6am
Anchor River - Closed until July 15th. 
Kasilof River - Tough day today, not too much action .

Mon. June 23rd - 6am
Anchor River - The water is low and clear.
Kasilof River - They did well on Kings today and the Sockeye fishing was slow.

Sun. June 22nd - 6am
Anchor River - Closed until July 15th. 
Kasilof River - It was a good day, but we missed a couple Sockeye and it was slow.

Sat. June 21st - 6am
Anchor River - Water is getting low.
Kasilof River - The Sockeye were slow today and the King fishermen did well. 

Fri. June 20th - 6am
Anchor River - River is in good shape and is clear and low.  We could use some water to make the fishing better.
Kasilof River - Sockeye fishing was a little slower today, make sure you fish the tides.
Thurs. June 19th - 6am
Anchor River - Looks good !  It is low and clear, I hope It doesn't get much lower. 
Kasilof River - Fishing was good today and seems to be improving.  A few Kings were caught. 

Weds. June 18th - 6am
Anchor River -  Water is starting to look very low!  King Salmon number are still low and the out going numbers are low.
Kasilof River - Great Sockeye Fishing today !  Many Kings caught and a few Hatchery Kings were Kept. 
Ninilchik River - Is open until June 23rd.  

Tues. June 17th - 6am
Anchor River - The water is clear and very low. 
Kasilof River -  The fishing has been improving, with a few Sockeye caught today and a few Kings caught.
Ninilchik River - There are a few Hatchery King Salmon in there and fish the tides for best action. 

Mon. June 16th - 6am
Anchor River - River looks good and we hope the Kings are returning.
Kasilof River - Look to catch a hatchery King and Sockeye, the river has bee rising and fishing has been improving !!
Ninilchik River - Open today for Hatchery King Salmon only !  Single Hook, No Bait !

Sun. June 15th - 6am
Anchor River - Water looks low and clear. No fishing until July 16th. 
Kasilof River - We had a pretty good day, with only one Sockeye today, it was a tough day. 

Sat. June 14th - 6am
Anchor River - Can't wait for the river to open, the Dolly's will shop up about mid July. 
Kasilof River - Good fishing continues for Kings and we are seeing more and more Sockeye caught !

Fri. June 13th - 6am
Anchor River -  Water looks great !  the lever is a little high but very clear. 
Kasilof River - Good Sockeye action today and saw a few Wild Kings caught and released. 

Thurs. June 12th - 6am
Anchor River - Looks like the river is in great condition. 
Kasilof River - Still getting some Sockeye close to the high tide and early in the morning. 
Kenai River - Picked up a Sockeye today and missed a couple. 

Weds. June 11th - 6am
Anchor River - Good conditions remain and the water looks great ! 
Kasilof River - The Sockeye were hit or miss today.

Tues. June 10th - 6am
Anchor River - Water level is a little high and color is geting clearer. 
Kasilof River - Slow today and no Sockeye! The Kings were active early and did see a Hatchery caught. 

Mon. June 9th - 6am
Anchor River - River looks good and we wish the Kings were open at lease for catch and release only, but.... 
Kasilof River - Water has come up a bit and raising everyday very slowly. 

Sun. June 8th - 6am
Anchor River - Water is still running high, but the color is starting to improve.
Kasilof River - water is coming up much faster now. We are seeing more sockeye and Kings being caught.
Ninilchik River - Good action today with the weather being much better and the river was in good shape.  Just a little high and a little off color. 

Sat. June 7th - 6am
Anchor River - Water is high and very dirty.
Kasilof River - Good water level and we caught a Sockeye and a Jack King in just two hours. Weather sucked, with the wind and the rain, made it a challenge.
Ninilchik River - Water is still high and very dirty, some reports of Kings caught early on the high tide. 

Fri. June 6th 6am
Anchor River - Water has come down a little and has cleared up. 
Kasilof River - King Salmon being caught and we are seeing more and more sockeye, they seem to be coming in early. 

Thurs. June 5th - 6am
Anchor River - The water is still high and dirty.
Kasilof River - Good conditions for fishing, water is rising slowly and we are seeing more fish being caught. 

Weds. June 4th - 6am
Anchor River - Water has come up and is running high and very dirty,
Kasilof River -Starting to see some King Action and a few Sockeye.  Seems the Sockeye are coming in early and fishing should be good this year. 

Tues.s June 3rd - 6am
Anchor River - Looks good, just a little high and brown .
Kasilof River - Good action today !  We saw a few Kings caught, no Sockeye today  Water continues to come up, but plenty of gravel bar to walk on. 

Mon. June 2nd - 6am
Kasilof River - Still looking for our 1st King Salmon or Sockeye, and have not caught a Steelhead in over twp weeks. 
Ninilchik River - Look at fishing two hours before to two hours after the high tide for the best chance for a big push of fish.  Hatchery Kings Only !!

Sun. June 1st - 6am
Anchor River - Water has dome down a little and has good visibility. 
Kasilof River - The conditions are good, with the water still low, coming up slowly.  Steelhead fishing has slowed down. 
Ninilchik River - Good reports today, of Hatchery Kings being caught and a few jacks. 

Sat. May 31st - 6am
Anchor River -  Water lever still high and coming down and clearing up.  Still closed until July 15th.
Kasilof River  - Water lever still remains low and coming up slowly. Not many reports of Kings of sockeye, only a few from the drift boats. 
Ninilchik - Starting to see some action, with a few reports of Kings being caught.

Fri. May 30th - 6am
Anchor River - Water has come up from all the rain and the color is brown. 
Ninilchik River - Opens at midnight tonight! You can keep hatchery Kings only !
Kasilof River - There was a Sockeye caught from a drift boat, but still slow.

Thurs. May 29th - 6am
Kasilof River - Not much action today and the Steelhead have slowed down and still looking for our 1st King Salmon or Sockeye. 

Weds. May 28th - 6am
Kasilof River - Water level is still low and coming up very slowly.  No Kings today. 

Tues. May 27th - 6am
Kasilof River - A few reports of Sockeye being caught and a few Steelhead are still around, no Kings for me yet. Water is slowly coming up.

Mon. May 26th - 6am

Anchor River - Closed for all species until July 15th.
Deep Creek - Closed for all species until July 15th.
Ninilchik River - Open today !  You can keep one Hatchery King Salmon, save the resource !
Kasilof River - Still looking for my first King Salmon and we should see some Sockeye on the high tides.

Ninilchik River - Open for Hatchery King Salmon only !
Kasilof River - Good conditions remain for some Steelhead fishing and saw one Sockeye caught today from a drift Boat.
Kenai River - No reports from lower river.

Ninilchik River - Open for hatchery King Salmon only !
Kasilof River - We are starting to see some Sockeye in the river, but no reports of a King being caught yet.
Kenai River - No reports from lower river.

Fri. May 23rd - 6am
Ninilchik River - The river will be open at midnight.  Read emergency orders for current regulations.
Kasilof River - Steelhead fishing has slowed down a little, as the fish drop down the river to the ocean, we are seeing less.
Kenai River - No reports.

Thurs. May 22nd - 6am
Ninilchik River - The river will open at midnight on Sat. May 24th for Hatchery King Salmon only ! One per day, No Bait !  Single Hook, artificial lures only !
Kasilof River - Tough day of Steelhead fishing , the water has come up and I couldn't cross safely.  Only One Steelhead today. Saw a Sockeye caught from a drift boat.
Kenai River - Looking forward to June 11th when the Upper opens up.

Weds. May 21st -6am
Kasilof River - Water has come up about 4-6 inches in the last week or so, making my crossing a little tricky, last time across, I bet.
Kenai River - No reports, but the river looks great and rising normally.

Tues. May 20th - 6am
Kasilof River - Little slower Steelhead fishing today, as the water is just starting to rise a little.
Kenai River - No reports.

Mon. May 19th - 6am
Kasilof River - Good water conditions for Steelhead fishing, no reports of Kings caught yet.
Kenai River - No reports. river looks in good condition.

Sun. May 18th - 6am
Kasilof River - No Kings yet, but it is early and we can see a push at any time.

Sat. May 17th - 6am
Kasilof River - Steelhead fishing has been good and water conditions are great !  One guy 7 for 9 on a good day.
Kenai River - No reports on the river.

Fri. May 16th - 6am
Anchor River - Closed
Deep Creek - Closed
Ninilchik River - Closed - opens Sat. May 24th, for Sat. Sun. and Mon. for 3 weekends.
Kasilof River - Steelhead fishing has been good with the water level at a good height to cross.
Kenai River - Upper River opens June 11th.
