Mon. May 16th - 6am
Anchor River - Looks like it be in fare condition this weekend for the opener. If regulations. don't change, the use of bait will be permitted.
The Anchor River will be open on Sats. Suns, Mons. and Weds. only, starting May 21st through June 22nd.
Sun. May 15th - 8am
Anchor River - There were a few Kings surfacing down in the lower river, which is a good sign. Water is still in poor condition. Many good reports for King fishing out on the ocean.
Sat. May 14th - 8am
Anchor River - Not much change in the river conditions, we will have to wait and see how it shapes up. Water is high and dirty. Off to a good start with the run, many Kings have gone past the weir.
Kasilof River - The water is still low with good river bank access for Steelhead and Dolly's. Upper river will hold some nice size Steelhead, look for shallow runs with some structure. Few King reports on the lower river bank area.
Anchor River - Starting to see the water clear up along the edges a little this morning. It is still high and can see a drop coming if no rain shows up.
Thurs. May 12th - 8am
Anchor River - Very little drop in the water level and clarity isn't good yet, but is shaping up nice.
Weds. May 11th - 8am
Anchor River - At this rate the river looks like its right on track for the opener and if we don't get a bunch of rain it should be in good shape.
Kasilof River - Still low and great access for bank fishing, steelhead fishing reports have been far and few between, but am going Sat. for an update. Waiting on a report for King fishing.
Tues. May 10th - 8am
Anchor River - Not much difference in the water color and seems to be still high.
Mon. May 9th, 2016 - 8am
Anchor River - Rain has brought up the river an inch or so, please check out link to the hydrograph for more detailed information on the level.
Sun. May 8th, 2016 - 8am
Anchor River - Water is high and dirty and a few Kings have been seen rolling in lower river.
Sat. May 7th, 2016 - 8am
Anchor River - Looks like an average year with the water level high and its dirty and brown.
Kasilof River - Water level is low and gives good access to great bank fishing.
