Anchor River - One report of a 24" "Jack" caught at Grassy.

Sun. June 2nd - 5:30am
Anchor River -
River level has dropped and holding at this point, many areas with clearing around the edges.  The color of the water is dirty, but clearing slowly. Kings are being caught in the river, only a few reports at this point. Many great reports from the salt which means the bulk of fish haven't come in the river yet.  Kings have been spotted in the lower river just up from the mouth.

Sat. June 1st - 5:45am
Anchor River -
Looks like it came up a little since yesterday and a little more dirty.  Not much rain last night should see a drop throughout the day with improving river conditions over the weekend.  Still waiting for my first report of a King, caught in the river...  Bruce says "Go Bright", Fish from 2 hrs before - two hours after high tide for best fishing.

Fri. May 31st - 7:30pm
Anchor River -
Today we see a nice drop in the river up to about a foot, with clearing around the edges a little, some gravel bars starting to appear.  Still great reports from the salt and the Halibut are in greater numbers.

Fri. May 31st - 6:30am
Anchor River -
After a little rain up in the hills, the river came up about 4-5 inches. Still lower than yesterday, keeping my fingers crossed for the weekend.

Thur. May 30th - 4:00pm
Anchor River -
Saw a little drop today and if it doesn't rain too hard we might be fine for the weekend. Total drop about 8-10 inches.

Thur. May 30th - 6:30am
Anchor River -
Have to report no change in the river conditions, still high and dirty, it might have cleared up a little but still high water level.  Weir count still 3 Kings past the weir, somebody should tell them the sonar isn't working, numbers are so inconsistent from year to year.

Wed. May 29th - 6:30am
Anchor River -
Continues to stay high and dirty due to the high temps and melt off.  Better luck out on the salt.  Only 3 Kings past the weir, if you believe it.

Tues. May 28th - 6:00am
Anchor River -
Great reports from the salt and pictures to prove it.  The Anchor River is up a little today, where is all the water coming from?  Can't be much snow left with the high temp. Shouldn't be long now.  I'm optimistic for the next weekend.  Rumors of the Anchor R. closing, not confirmed by me yet....

Mon. May 27th - 5:40am
Happy Memorial Day and "Thanks Vets" from The Fly Box, Khrissy and myself.
Anchor River -
Still remains high and dirty, very tough fishing conditions. Hopefully by Wed. or Thur. this week we'll see it drop to safer fishing conditions.  Go enjoy this nice weather out on the inlet, trolling for some Kings and stop by The Fly Box for some troll herring or halibut bait.

Sun. May 26th - 8:00am
Anchor River -
The North Fork of the Anchor River is starting to clear up, but the Anchor River remains high and dirty.  Maybe a Spin - n - Glow with some weight to get you down might be the approach and fish down by the mouth.

Anchor River -
No change, poor fishing conditions  today and until the river drops and clears up.  Salt water fishing has been great, with bait bought from the Fly Box, of course.

Wed. May 22nd - 9:30am
Anchor River -
Still a nice mocha color and still high, lets hope it drops for Sat.  Tides are rising and should be a good number of fish push in on the high tide.

Tue. May 21st - 4:30pm
Anchor River -
With the rain up in the hills and warm temperatures melting the last of the snow, the river has come up and turned a nice mocha color.  Without rain in the next few days the river could be OK to fish this weekend.

Mon. May 20th - 9:30am
Anchor River  -
continues to drop and clear up.  Much better conditions today for fishing.  Bright colors will work best, many fishing holes are getting accessible.
